Seat for motor vehicle, has envelope deflated under effect of forces applied by pelvis for modifying path of pelvis such that pelvis is in contact with retaining portion of bump for stopping displacement of pelvis
The seat has a base (1) comprising a base frame (3) with an anti-submarining bump (6) projected towards a base cushion (4). The bump has a retaining portion covered with an inflatable envelope (7). An envelope inflating unit (8) e.g. gas generator, is activated during an impact for inflating the envelope to guide the displacement of a pelvis (10) of a user towards a front part of the base. The envelope is deflated under the effect of forces applied by the pelvis for modifying a path of the pelvis such that the pelvis is in contact with the portion to stop the displacement of the pelvis.
