The element has an insert (47) mounted in cavities of a lower cross-member without clearance. The insert has deformation crack and rupture, which are distributed on a substantial portion of the insert and regularly distributed along a longitudinal axis (22) and a vertical axis (28) orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The deformation crack and rupture are formed of reduced resistance portions with mechanical efforts in a thin-wall of the insert. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a structural element.
