The sensor has an electroencephalographic electrode with an electrical connection (2) connected to a connecting cable of a signal storing and processing apparatus using a microfiche type connector. An orifice introduces a conductive gel. A localization unit (4) is compatible with and markable at the magnetic resonance imaging. A support (5) has a lower part or base (5`) for housing and maintaining the electrode and an upper part (5``) for fixing and maintaining the localization unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing high resolution electroencephalography.
