The injector (1) has a plate (16) with an end surface exhibiting a slot, where an opening of an inflow path (23) stays in connection with an opening of a high-pressure flow path (25) at the end surface through the slot. The slot is arranged in a position separated from an opening of an outflow path (24) at the end surface. The inflow path, outflow path and high-pressure path are provided in the plate such that the high-pressure fuel flows into a counter-pressure chamber (13) through the high-pressure path, slot and inflow path in a sequence and then flows from the chamber to the outflow path.
