The device (10) has an image comparison-information calculating section for calculating image comparison-information between two energy projection data sets or two energy tomography images. A dual energy image-reconstruction section (22) reconstructs a dual energy image by the implementation of a weighted subtraction operation between the two energy projection data sets or energy tomography images under utilization of a weighting factor that is determined in a weighting factor determination section.
