The turbocharger has a radial turbine, and an adjustable radial compressor that is connected with the turbine in a driven manner by a shaft, where the compressor has a compressor wheel. A strong discharge guide vane (1) is arranged at an outlet of the compressor wheel and has a majority of discharge guide vanes connected with a plunger in a fixed manner. A chamber (6) is provided in a compressor stator, which accommodates the vane (1) and the plunger, where the vane (1) is axially adjustable by an adjusting ring.
