Diagnosis system for mechatronic overall system i.e. motor vehicle, has selecting unit selecting and combining generic tests from quantity of generic tests to test sequence, and converting tests into testing instructions
The system has multiple subsystems with a supply unit for supplying quantity of generic tests. A selecting unit selects and combines generic tests from a quantity of the generic tests to a test sequence. The generic tests are released by the supply unit and converted into testing instructions, where generalized partial test sequences are complemented to concrete testing instructions by diagnosis information, which are contained in diagnosis parameter sets that are assigned to the subsystems and released by the supply unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a test sequence for execution of diagnosis of a mechatronic overall system.
