Technical object e.g. tool, constructing method for automotive engineering application, involves storing geometry data and information of variant of standard part or standard part family in variant-data set integrated into object-data set
The method involves storing an object-data set for a technical object e.g. tool, that is to be constructed, where given data of the object are stored in the object-data set. A specialized variant-data set is produced based on a standard part-data set during an integration of a variant of a standard part or a standard part family into the technical object. Geometry data and relevant additional information of the variant of the standard part or the standard part family are stored in the variant-data set. The variant data set is integrated into the object-data set of the object.
