The arrangement has a bus bar (4), which runs in an upper open channel (9) along a drive of the vehicle. A self-supporting profile (3) made of an electrically isolated material extends in the channel above the bus bar. The self-supporting profile bears a part of the weight of the bus bar. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying electricity to a trace-bound vehicle.
