Electro-hydraulic brake or electro-pneumatic brake, particularly for motor vehicles, has decelerated member, friction lining for frictionally coupled engagement with decelerated member, electric actuator, and energy accumulator
The brake (10) has a decelerated member, a friction lining (18) for the frictionally coupled engagement with the decelerated member, an electric actuator (26), and an energy accumulator (42). A force translating device interacts with the actuator such that it converts the force stored in the energy accumulator into another actuating moment. A hydraulic or pneumatic translating device serves the translation of the force brought about by the total actuating moment from the force translating device directly or indirectly to the friction lining.
