The phototherapy equipment (100) has a body (1) that is provided with a phototherapeutic light source, where the light source is in the form of a gallium nitride and indium LED. The gallium nitride and indium LED includes three individual LEDs provided in a collimator. An internal processor unit e.g. microprocessor (8) and microchip, is provided, where the internal processor unit exhibits a computer program that permits the provision and processing of the information with respect to the service life of the gallium nitride and indium LED.
