The roof panel has plastic foam cores (1, 2) made of expanded polystyrene and provided with outer metal and inner wood layers. The cores are provided with a chipboard or an oriented strand board (OSB) plate (4), where vapor transition at the wood layer, chipboard and OSB plate is increased by partial sealing. The panel is formed with humidity, which corresponds to mean humidity of the wood layer, chipboard and OSB plate, where the humidity in the wood layer, chipboard and OSB plate is restrained by ventilation to a mass less or equal to 18 percent, and the mass is measured over 1 to 4 weeks. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a roof panel.
