The measuring device (2) has an insertable or attachable mouthpiece (1) with a supply hole and a blow hole, and a borehole provided for a respiratory gas sampling for an alcohol sensor (6) e.g. electro-chemical sensor. A light conductor (4) e.g. glass fiber unit, is provided for absorbing a radiation of a radiation source (3) e.g. LED. The light conductor is arranged from a housing of the measuring device to the blow hole of the mouthpiece such that the light conductor serves as an illuminant for the mouthpiece. The conductor serves as a stopper for positioning the mouthpiece.
