The device has a combustion engine (11) and an electrical motor provided as drive sources, where an electrical motor assisting mode is utilized at a time of shifting for commanding an electrical motor (12) to emit an additional torque to compensate a combustion engine torque fluctuation, which occurs in response to a gear change. Another electrical assisting mode is utilized at a time of shifting down for commanding the electrical motor emit another additional torque according to gas pedal opening degree. The latter assisting mode is terminated by implementing an assisting completion process.
