Tertiary coded decimal method for use in data processing systems and computers, involves using four different electric potential levels that are made available as tertiary value at module over END-gate
The ternary coded decimal (TCD) method involves using four different electric potential levels on the basis of ternary and quaternary logic. A module conducting ternary signals is connected to a bus by two conductors. An input connection (9) within a module is connected on three conductors on which binary signals are changed. The binary signals are tertiary compatible but are binaurally connected with each other. The result as tertiary value is available at the module over an END-gate (17). An independent claim is also included for a circuit for a ternary coded decimal method.
