The method involves utilizing an electronic noise source, high-pass filter and an amplifier if necessary. One or both ears are supplied with a noise signal via air conduction or bone conduction by sound transformers. The high-pass filter exhibits an adjustable cut-off frequency, and sound intensity of the noise signal is adjustable. The high pass filter causes a noise signal spectrum misalignment into a range of high frequencies.
