The distributor has a clam-shell housing (11) with a flexible housing shell (112) provided with a retainer (13) for retaining an injection device and covering another housing shell (111). The retainer is formed in single-piece with the housing shell (111), and a connecting piece (12) for a fuel line is formed with one of the housing shells, where each housing shell is made of a rustproof steel sheet metal. A mounting unit (18) for mounting the distributor is provided in the housing, where the shells are connected in a liquid tight manner by welding or soldering.
