The method involves determining indirect fuel consumer, which includes non-electric components, which influence the fuel consumption. The fuel consumption, which is caused by the indirect fuel consumer, is determined. The determined indirect fuel consumer and the determined fuel consumption are displayed. Multiple sensors are attached to indirect fuel consumer, where signals are produced by the sensors, which contain the information, whether the indirect fuel consumer contributes to the fuel consumption. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determination and display of fuel consumption of indirect fuel consumer and of overall fuel consumption as well as determination of the indirect fuel consumer (2) a vehicle with the device for determination and display of fuel consumption of indirect fuel consumer and of overall fuel consumption as well as determination of the indirect fuel consumer.
