The device (1) has a housing (2) with an illuminant (3) i.e. LED, and an energy storage connected with the illuminant by an electric circuit. A switching element (5) i.e. lever, is provided for the circuit and is guided pivotably at the housing. A force unit i.e. spring element, is attached to the element, which attaches the element in a switching position closing the circuit. The element actuates a switching contact via a swivel joint (4) formed at the housing. The element is equipped with a locking device (7), which arranges the element in a switching position opening the circuit.
