The child seat (100) has a child seat tray (102), which is provided for retaining a child and is arranged at a seat cushion of a vehicle seat (10) in its use position. The child seat is reversibly fastened at the vehicle seat and/or a vehicle body (16) in a firm manner using a restraint system (108), which receives a force during accidents. A child seat frame is brought from its use position to a loading and unloading position by a lever apparatus, which is arranged below the child seat frame.
