Force assisting system for use in passenger aircraft, has force assisting device providing lower assisting force and/or assisting moment at which actuating device moves assisting device into inactive operating state
The system (16) has a load determination device determining load acting on a lowerable shell (14) of a luggage compartment (10). The system provides a constant assisting force, which opposes the load acting on the shell of the compartment if a force assisting device (24) is in an active operating state. The assisting force and/or an assisting moment provided by the device (24) are/is lower than the corresponding predetermined threshold value at which an actuating device (32) moves the device (24) out of into the inactive operating state.
