Internal-combustion engine`s operational parameter e.g. rail pressure, determination monitoring method for vehicle, involves detecting determination of parameter to be incorrect if procedures have deviation from expected parameter value
The method involves detecting determination of an operational parameter (B) e.g. rail pressure (RP), to be incorrect if individual determination procedures have a deviation from an expected operational parameter value. A selectable time interval lies between the procedures. The value is selected from operational parameter value intervals, and number of the error detection-relevant individual determination procedures is adjustable. Signaling is performed during detection of an incorrect determination of the parameter. An independent claim is also included for a testing device for monitoring the determination of an operational parameter of a vehicle.
