The machine has a pressure jaw (17) pivotably held on a pivot axis (38) by a holding frame (8), where the pivot axis runs transverse to its longitudinal direction. The pressure jaw is brought in an inclined position relative to a holding frame main plane during attachment of a supporting unit (20) on a paving block bearing (2). The pressure jaw is attached to a piston rod (12) of a hydraulic cylinder (10) and is pivoted around a longitudinal axis of the piston rod.
