Method for joining thick-walled components made from creep-resistant materials comprises cleaning the connecting surfaces and treating with an activating agent, galvanizing at least one of the connecting surfaces in an oxygen-free atmosphere with pure aluminum deposited from an organic, water- and oxygen-free electrolyte, pressing the components together at the connecting surfaces to avoid oxygen entering and gradually heating in an oxygen-deficient atmosphere.
