The cooking pan (1) has pan base (2), which has a stove side and a side on which items are cooked. A part of the surface of side on which items are cooked is formed as grilling area (6), which is provided with ribs (9) and grooves (10) between the ribs. Another part of the surface of the side, on which items are cooked, is formed as flat cooking area (7). The grilling area covers an area between 50 percent and 75 percent of the surface of the side on which items are cooked.
