The present invention relates to the electrostatic separation of the kieserite containing solid bridges being created ground potassium. The separation process is characterized in that the ground crude potassium salt with a conditioning agent containing a combination of an aromatic carboxylic acid or derivatives thereof, an ammonium salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid as well as an unbranched fatty alcohol of the chain length of & c₁₀ to c₁₅ intensively mixed and then in the case of 1 - 10% relative atmospheric humidity triboelectrically charged, and by means of an electrostatic separation process in a crude kieserite fraction and a crude potassium fraction is separated. By the use of the process, the kieserite yield can be increased and the selectivity of a subsequent processing by means of flotation is increased.
