Method for elimination of flow instability and rotary replacements in radial, diagonal or axial fluid-flow machines, particularly turbomachines, centrifugal pumps or compressor, involves diverting leakage current by diagonal gap
The method involves diverting a leakage current (3) by a diagonal gap (2) between an intake (1) and an impeller (4) towards the impeller. The leakage current is conducted by the diagonal gap in straight lines or curved form. The leakage current is conducted by the diagonal gap with a constant or varying gap width.
