The unit (1) has an oblong body (2) with a heating device (3) e.g. electrical heating units (32), and made of copper or copper zinc alloy. The heating units are integrated in the body, where the adjusting unit has a defined length based on heating of the body. The body has a defined force at its outer surfaces, based on heat produced by the heating device. A cooling device (4) is arranged at an end (25) of the body, and is formed as a cooling unit that is a Peltier unit for air flushing or cooling. A thermal insulator made of plastic or ceramic material is provided at an end of the body.
