The device (200) has a current measuring device (250) which has an internal resistance smaller than two hundred ohms. The internal resistance of the current measuring device is so fixed that the limiting current probe falls below a threshold value at a characteristic time. An independent claim is also included for gas concentration measuring system for measuring a gas concentration.
