The FlexRay-bus system has a controller (16,18,20) attached to a FlexRay bus (10). Two closing elements (22,22') are attached to the FlexRay bus as accessories independent of all controllers. The closing elements provide impedance at mass with a value of 80 to 120 percent of the value of the impedance of the FlexRay bus. The FlexRay bus proceeds from a start to an end, where one closing element is provided at the start and the end. An independent claim is also included for a closing element for a FlexRay bus.
