Cylinder head for liquid-cooled internal-combustion engine, has cycle channels guided from combustion chamber, where channels and receivers for nozzles and spark plugs are lead away from chamber through base plate and coolant chamber
The cylinder head (1) has a coolant chamber divided into an upper coolant chamber and a lower coolant chamber, and multiple gas exchange cycle channels guided from a combustion chamber (4) to flange surfaces of the head and are partially pass via a coolant. A transfer area is provided for transferring the coolant from the lower coolant chamber into the upper coolant chamber. The cycle channels and receivers for injection nozzles and/or spark plugs are lead away from the combustion chamber through a cylinder head base plate (2) and the coolant chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an internal-combustion engine.
