Trigger wheel for detecting rotation angle position of cam shaft, has inner ring made of metal, and amplification area amplifying metalliferous area, where amplification and metalliferous areas are made of similar base material
The wheel (1) has a metalliferous area (3) detecting a signal. An amplification area (5) is made of plastic, and amplifies the metalliferous area. The metalliferous area is made of iron powder embedded in plastic. An area provided adjacent to a cam shaft is made of a metal or reinforced plastic. An adhesive joint connects the wheel with the cam shaft. The metalliferous area and the amplification area are made of a similar base material. An inner ring is made of a metal. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a trigger wheel.
