Fluid bulk material`s physical characteristic e.g. density, determining arrangement for oil- and gas industry, has determining device determining characteristic of material, when fluid level lies below or above preset limiting value
The arrangement has a fluid level measuring device (3) measuring fluid level of a bulk material in a container (1). A measuring area measures a hydrostatic pressure when the fluid level lies below or above a predetermined limiting value (G). A determining device determines physical characteristic of the bulk material based on the fluid level and the hydrostatic pressure measured by pressure measuring devices (5, 9), when the fluid level lies below or above the limiting value. An independent claim is also included for a method of determining physical characteristic of a fluid bulk material in a container.
