An apparatus for lifting weir of meniscus shield in the twin roll type strip caster which can be accurately simultaneously operated to symmetric of structure and not easily transformed into although the wear works is provided. An apparatus for lifting weir of meniscus shield in the twin roll type strip caster comprises; a wire rod(150) connected in a guide plate in which a wear(130) is fixed; a rack(170) jointed upper and lower receiving platforms(172,174) which a tightening ball(154) equipped in the other end of the wire rod looks are included in one, and installed at the outer side of a meniscus shield; a pinion(180) gear with the rack; and a driving motor(210) connected and fixed with the pinion through a gear box(200) having the reduction function.
