摘要

A data writing method using a magnetic disc device, an off track margin setting method, a magnetic disc device and an off track margin setting device are provided to improve quality of signal and performance of the device by using a second threshold value as well as a first threshold value. A data writing method using a magnetic disc device includes the steps of: classifying data on a disk into user data and servo data(servo signal)(S101); obtaining position data including the serial number of the current track and deviation of the track from the track center by modulating the servo signal(S102); determining whether the deviation is more than a first threshold value(write off track margin) in the previous write direction(S103); determinig whether the deviation is more than a second threshold value(signal quality off track margin) in the current write direction if the deviation is equal to or less than the first threshold value(S104); and writing the user data on the disk if the deviation is equal to or less than the second threshold value(S107).
