A method and a system for analyzing combustion dynamics in a time domain are provided to allow a user to design and operate a gas turbine engine combustion device with high efficiency in terms of cost. A combustion dynamic analysis system(410) comprises a database(420) and a processor. The database stores information on a combustion system provided in a gas turbine engine. The combustion system includes an inlet pipe that is communicated with a combustion chamber. The processor makes communication with the database and reads out at least a part of the information stored in the database to determine a characteristic equation of waves in the inlet pipe. The processor determines an amplitude of acoustic pressure in the combustion chamber and then determines pressure variation in the inlet pipe based on the characteristics equation and the amplitude of the acoustic pressure.
