An antibacterial nano-fiber containing silver nano-particles and a preparation method thereof are provided to mix silver nano precursor materials into the spun solution and to remove the remaining organic solvent completely. A fiber forming high polymer and silver metal salt are dissolved in the solvent so that the spinning solution is manufactured. The spinning solution is electrically spun. The electrically spun fiber is annealed at the air atmosphere so that an insoluble fiber is manufactured. Thereafter, the insoluble nano-fiber is annealed at the inner gas atmosphere as a carbonation process. As an activation process, at the steam atmosphere, the insoluble nano-fiber is also annealed. The silver metal salt is silver nitrate, sliver sulfate or silver chloride. The annealing temperature at the insoluble process is below 350°C. The annealing temperature at the carbonation process or the activation process is below 1000°C. Further, the spinning solution additionally consists of a photocatalyst.
