A telematics method for expressing a speed limit zone and a telematics system for executing the method are provided to improve driver convenience by guiding downhill road information or sharp curve road information based on downhill road sign information. A road information table(201) stores limited speed relates to road identifiers. A database(202) stores a speed limit zone. A road identifying unit(205) determines whether a road identifier of a traveling road is included or not in the database. An information identifier(206) identifies specific limited speed to the road identifier when the road identifier is existed. A display(207) displays the identified limited speed. A controller(204) compares the limited speed of the speed limit zone with the specific limited speed and displays the specific limited speed different from a basic limitation speed when the speed of the speed limit zone is smaller than or equal to the limited speed.
