A patent information retrieval device is provided with a patent retrieving unit (12) that retrieves a patent document stored in a patent document database (11) which stores retrieving subjects of patent information; a relevancy calculating unit (13) that cuts out a node comprised of a pair of data of an attribute and its value for each patent document of a subject patent set retrieved by the patent retrieving unit and that calculates the relevancy between arbitrary two nodes out of the cut-out nodes only for a predetermined number of combinations; an initial arrangement position calculating unit (15) that calculates coordinate information which initially disposes each node, so as to dispose two bigger relevancy nodes closer with respect to the relevancy of each node calculated by the relevancy calculating unit; and a screen generating unit (16) for mapping in accordance with coordinate information of each node calculated by the initial arrangement position calculating unit.
