The invention relates to a process for preparing a block copolymer comprising a sequence comprising successively a semi-crystalline and/or hydrolysable block, an elastomeric block and an amorphous block, said process comprising the following steps: a) a step of 1,2-addition, on an ethylenic end group of a semi-crystalline and/or hydrolysable polymer, of an alkoxy amine that may correspond to the following formula (II): b) a step of addition, to the medium derived from step a), of one or more monomers that are precursors of the elastomeric block, as a result of which a semi-crystalline block-b-elastomeric block diblock copolymer is obtained; c) a step of addition, to the medium derived from step b), of one or more monomers that are precursors of the amorphous block, as a result of which the semi-crystalline and/or hydrolysable block-b-elastomeric block-b-amorphous block triblock copolymer is obtained. Use of the copolymers obtained as amorphous matrix impact modifier.
