The high power factor integrated electronic ballast has a converter gearbox setback for power factor correction, and another to control power of the lamp. The output converter setback coil has two windings, which switch at low frequencies to feed the lamp with a square wave. A switch is provided that handles the current stage and integrates the sum of two, as happens in most stages of integrated circuits.
