System for injecting one or more chemicals into a production fluid produced by at least one subsea well, the system comprising: a unit on the surface chemical supply (130; 520; 632) for supplying at least one chemical to a selected subsea location; at least one supply pipe chemicals (140; 522; 611) carrying the at least one chemical from the surface to the selected subsea location; the system characterized in further comprising a plurality of distributed sensors (S) associated with said at least one supply pipe chemicals (140; 522; 611) for providing signals relating to a characteristic of at least one chemical carried by the at least one supply pipe chemicals (140; 522; 611); and an underwater unit injection chemicals (150) in the underwater location selected to receive the at least one chemical from the drive surface chemical supply (130; 520; 632) and for selectively injecting the at at least one chemical into the production fluid.
