"The selection method of peptu00ecdeos, peptu00ecdeos, method and kit for the identification of infections by Mycobacterium leprae, pharmaceutical compositions containing peptu00ecdeos Mycobacterium leprae or immunological or sequences functionally equivalent thereto". The main objective of this invention is the specific identification of infections by M.Leprae, including those relating to the latent forms or the early stages of active disease. A first implementation of this invention refers to a method of selection of peptides derived from proteins or regions of proteins belonging to the genome of M.Leprae with algorithms for the detection of regions that combine with human histocompatibility molecules capable of inducing immune response in subjects exposed to M. leprae. A second concretization of the present invention relates to peptides P37 to p94 (corresponding, respectively, to SEQ ID No. 1 to SEQ ID No. 58, or sequences functionally equivalent to the same).A third concretization of the present invention refers to a method for sensitive and specific detection of infections by M. leprae through the following steps: (a) to collect the sample to be examined; (b) to extract the biological material of interest to the sample obtained in (a); (c) allot The air biological material from step (b) into contact with at least one of the peptides.
