SPRAYING TOWER AND PROCESS TO CONTACT LIQUID GASES AND DROPS FOR EXCHANGE OF MATTER AND / OR HEAT. The present invention relates to a process for establishing gas and liquid drop contact for the exchange of matter and / or heat and a spray tower (3) in which liquid is sprayed at various levels against the gas countercurrent, being that the gas is supplied by at least two inlet openings (2) in the spray tower casing (3). In this case, to reduce differences in contact duration, the gas flow direction in the inlets (2) is directed in such a way to the inner region of the spray tower, which has a diameter of greater than or equal to 12 m, particularly greater than 20 m, that the current directions of the at least two gas streams intersect in their extension within the spray tower, particularly in the center of the spray tower, up to one half of the spray tower radius behind the center of the spray tower.
