PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact water cooling conductor of normal conduction type which can be employed for an ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) of compact design to supply a high voltage and large current to a superconducting magnet, etc.;SOLUTION: Two square bar conductors 2 of aluminum, each of which is surrounded with a first insulating coat 3, are arranged side by side, around which a second insulating coat 4 is provided to collectively cover the two square bar conductors. A shielding layer 5 for grounding is arranged further around it, with the layer 5 shared by a binding apparatus. A cooling water, or pure water, flows coolant channels of the square bar conductors. One square bar conductor is used as a DC transmission channel while the other as a return channel, for high-voltage and large-current flow.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
