PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual stress analysis method by a finite element method capable of effectively reducing the time required for the analysis while keeping high analysis precision when the residual stress of the welded part of a welded structure is analyzed by the finite element method.;SOLUTION: In the residual stress analysis by a finite element method relating to this application, a range to be modeled for analysis is set in an analysis modeling range setting stage 1. At that time, the analysis modeling range is limited to the vicinity of the welding part of the analysis object. Then, an analysis model is p in an analysis model preparation stage 2, and a heat transfer analysis is executed in a welding part heat transfer analysis stage 3 by limiting it to a welding process in the vicinity of the surface layer. Then, in a welding part residual stress analysis stage 4, the residual stress of the welding part is calculated based on the heat transfer analysis result obtained in the analysis stage 3.
