PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of extracting a meaningful scene interval in a video image with high accuracy. PSOLUTION: A script text interval acquisition means 13 reads script data of a video image to acquire a script text interval, and a video text interval generating means 14 applies meaningful relation threshold value processing to test data obtained from caption information and voice information in an input video interval to generate a video text interval. A text similarity calculation means 15 calculates text information by each video text interval with text information by each script text interval and a text cross-reference means 16 confirms a script text interval corresponding to the video text interval on the basis of the similarity. A recursive processing control means 17 revises the threshold value until cross-referencing is obtained to repeat the processing above and thereafter a video text interval integrating means 18 integrates a plurality of video text intervals wherein corresponding script text intervals in video text intervals temporally adjacent to each other are identical into one video text interval.
