This invention the metrical pump for especially lubricant (1) and, regards with the method of long-term lubricating the lubricating place (16) which spans several years desirably. It can provide one which is driven by operation expedient (5) metrical piston at least in the above-mentioned metrical pump (1). In order to make the design as much as possible small-sized, operation expedient (5), has with the expansion element (6 and 7) which is heated at least by one heating element (8) and the particular heating element (8). The expansion element is heated by the energy which is supplied to the heating element, makes displace the metrical piston (4) due to the fact that the expansion material expands. This invention regards also the lubricant container (18) which is locked to airtightness to the metrical pump. Depending upon airtight fixing, it is evaded, that the lubricant inside the metrical pump becomes old, it exceeds the actual shelf life of lubricant and in the lubrication point (16) it becomes possible to continue to supply lubricant.
