PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the design support method of a cylinder head for efficiently and finely creating an oil jacket model.;SOLUTION: This design support method of a cylinder head includes: a step for setting a cylinder head basic shape model 60 based on various input specification values; a step for separately setting a plurality of component models set in every peripheral site relevant to an oil jacket in the cylinder head, wherein those plurality of component models are obtained as a component model 62 equipped with valve system layout requirements, a component model 64 equipped with number of cylinder requirements, a component model 66 equipped with ignition plug requirements, and a component model 68 equipped with productivity requirements for oil jacket models formed based on the component models; and a step for setting oil jacket models 70 and 78 by subtracting the plurality of component models from the cylinder head basic shape model.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
