PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to get better reflection of the preference of viewing audience for supporting program selection and video recording reservation in light of the problem that hitherto, the program guide has been displayed by presuming the preference of the viewing audience based on high-viewing/audience rating programs and high-frequency recorded programs but these programs have not necessarily reflected the preference of the viewing audience.;SOLUTION: A video reproducer and the video display system including the video reproducer includes a preference determination means which stores recorded videos of broadcast programs and operational histories on the reproduction of the recorded videos and then determines the preference of the viewing audience based on accumulated times of actually reproducing the broadcast programs on which the stored operational histories have been recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
